Property boom in Manchester on the back of ‘real confidence’
A “real confidence” in Manchester is contributing to a renewed property boom in the city and surrounding areas, according to the managing partner at Alliance Investments.
The McGoff Group has recently released the final phase of 75 apartments at its Downtown project – dubbed the Alchemy – on the back of both national and international demand.
The scheme has ‘exceeded all expectations’ for the McGoff Group, with director Chris McGoff saying: “With a large percentage of the development sold before the first brick was even laid and purchasers from all over the world interested in Downtown, it made sense to release the final properties earlier than planned.
“Reservations are already being taken and I envisage all apartments at the Alchemy to be sold in the next two or three months.”
Matthew Jay, managing partner at Alliance Investments, the sales arm of Property Alliance Group which is associated with the development, added: “The positive response to Downtown from both UK and international property investors has been incredible. There is a real confidence in Manchester, not only as the UK’s second city but as a globally-recognised destination in its own right and this is contributing to a renewed property boom.
“With the Alchemy, the McGoff Group really has saved the best until last and this is the final opportunity to be part of the developing story of this iconic new landmark that will result in the creation of a dynamic new urban community on the Manchester and Salford border.”
The McGoff Group has also worked with Fieldfisher and Wellesley Finance on the project.
