Preston’s growing property success - The Exchange tops out and almost sells out

Preston’s growing property success - The Exchange tops out and almost sells out

The Exchange Preston development is a 3 year programme by The Heaton Group, to build 200 one-, two- and three bedroom luxury apartments, as well as four office units totaling 3,000 sq. ft. on the ground floor.

Contractors working on the construction of The Exchange hit a key milestone after reaching the highest point in the construction process. Developer Heaton Group Developments, Heaton Group’s contracting arm, celebrated the ‘topping off’ at the Exchange, in the center of Preston.

The 16-storey apartment block will have 200 high specification one-, two- and three-bedroom units spread over three separate blocks, along with a host of on-site amenities for residents to enjoy including a gym, concierge service and a roof top garden.

The topping out celebration took place as Alliance Investments, who are marketing and selling the apartments, shared news that The Exchange has almost sold out, with limited apartments remaining to purchase.

This is the second development project in Preston that Alliance Investments have achieved sales success - Bishopgate Gardens was Preston’s first amenity-focused residence, with roof gardens, residents lounges, co-working spaces and independent retailers.

The development sold out quicker than forecast, and the same success story has been seen for The Exchange. Apartments in both Bishopgate Gardens and The Exchange are now both in high rental demand.

Bishopgate Gardens is fully let with a waiting list of tenants, and the rental interest list at The Exchange is also growing.

These are key signs that the City of Preston is on the up, with a young population looking for the best luxury accommodation in the city centre.

With a growing economy and extensive plans for the future, this is the perfect time to buy a new home in Preston – one of the UK’s most important up and coming property markets - whilst there are a few remaining apartments available to purchase at The Exchange through Alliance Investments.

John Heaton, Managing Director of The Heaton Group, said: “The Exchange is part of our four-year Preston Masterplan, along with our other completed development Bishopsgate Garden, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the build so far.”

Ronald Garrett, Managing Director of Alliance Investments commented: “We received a high level of interest in these apartments, our first phase of releases promptly sold out, the final apartments are now available and this will be the last opportunity to secure an apartment at The Exchange. Every apartment so far has sold off-plan which is a testament to the location and quality of the development.”

The topping out ceremony was held to mark the placing of the last beam at the top of the structure during its construction. Along with Preston Council’s chief executive Adrian Philips and Preston’s Mayor, Cllr Neil Darby, Preston North End footballing hero Graham Alexander, also attended the ribbon-cutting event.

The Exchange is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.
