McGoff Group’s riverside scheme last phase of apartments launched
Property firm The McGoff Group has launched the last phase of apartments at its flagship residential scheme on the banks of the River Irwell.
The final draft of 75 homes at Downtown, a development on the Salford and Manchester border, is now up for sale.
The McGoff Group said the phase was released early to capitalise on demand.
Known as the Alchemy, it comprises a collection of two-bedroom apartments housed within a 14-storey tower.
All the units have open-plan kitchens, dining and living areas along with en-suite bedrooms and fully glazed floor-to-ceiling windows. Some also feature terraces offering river and city views.
Construction on Downtown is well underway, with phase one due for completion at the end of 2018 and phase two shortly after.
Chris McGoff, director at The McGoff Group, said: “With a large percentage of the development sold before the first brick was even laid and purchasers from all over the world interested in Downtown, it made sense to release the final properties earlier than planned.
“Reservations are already being taken and I envisage all apartments at the Alchemy to be sold in the next two or three months.”
The McGoff Group is working on the scheme in partnership with Manchester law firm Fieldfisher; Alliance Investments, the sales arm of Manchester developer Property Alliance Group; and property finance business Wellesley Finance.
Matthew Jay, managing partner at Alliance Investments, commented: “The positive response to Downtown from both UK and international property investors has been incredible.
“With The Alchemy, the McGoff Group really has saved the best until last and this is the final opportunity to be part of the developing story of this iconic new landmark that will result in the creation of a dynamic new urban community on the Manchester and Salford border.”
